ELLA KNORZ, born in 2000, has been making films since the age of ten. After shooting dozens of short films as a teenager, often skipping school in order to attend a film festival, she moved to Berlin, enrolling for philosophy and literature.
From 2020 – 2026 she studied fictional directing at the
University of Television and Film Munich and now works as a filmmaker and photographer across Europe.

ALICE KNORZ, born in 1972, grew up with five siblings on a sailing boat at the Australian Pacific – before falling in love with Ella’s father, returning to her German roots and building a family in Heidelberg. She studied economics and finance in Sydney, workin g in business and the sustainability sector for more than twenty years, as well as creating art classes for kids and being a mother of three.
